Our client, the leading source of intelligent information for the world''s businesses and professionals is looking for a high calibre candidate to fill up the position :
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage the design, development and launch of new products, contents and enhancements for the their legal publications
- Identify and assess customer needs, market size, competitive landscape and financial opportunity for new products
- Help prepare business cases for new products and enhancements
- Develop the core positioning and market messaging for the product
- Create product designs and draft functional specifications to ensure that product features address customer needs
- Participate in project meetings to ensure successful implementation of product designs
- Provide practice area and product overviews for Sales and Marketing teams
- Identify, prioritize and negotiate acquisition of third-party content
- Work closely with Strategic Licensing and Strategy & Business Development teams on acquisitions, joint ventures and contract negotiation as needed.
- Ensure content is optimized for their publications and customers.
- Develop and maintain expertise in relevant areas of legal practice, market conditions and customer needs.
- Work closely with major clients to assess customer issues/needs.
- Provide subject matter expertise and domain knowledge for development of their products
- Research and evaluate it''s services, competitive product offerings and third party information sources.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate law degree strongly preferred (LLB or equivalent) / MBA desirable.
- Prior experience in commercial legal practice, such as securities, finance or corporate law strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with practices and publications of government agencies and standards bodies a definite advantage.
- · Experience with web-based businesses and business models or publishing preferred.
- · Experience of working across geographies, in particular within Asia Pacific region
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and traditional and simplified Chinese required; fluency in other regional languages desired
- Broad, solid knowledge of commercial legal practice and industry.
- Ability to analyze and anticipate customer needs, competitor activities and market trends.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy, in particular in drafting / documentation
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize complex and concurrent projects adapting to changing priorities to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Proven leadership and management skills, including leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills (spoken, written, presentation, negotiation, and relationship building).
- Ability to work without supervision and exercise sound independent judgment.
- Flexibility to be part of a team based in the U.S.
- Travel Require
